佛像艺术家姜生新展览“VOID”设计展览空间

我们受佛像艺术家姜生的委托为他的新展览“ VOID”设计展览空间。展览的地点是北京巨蛋工作室的一个小剧院。

受印度阶梯井的启发，我们决定设计没有色彩属性和装饰元素的空间。使用简单的几何形状在场地中形成分层的秩序感–戏剧性的“空房间”，只有起伏的地形和空气。我们没有在空间中设置任何刚性隔断，以便可以将展品自由放置在平台上。

We were commissioned by the Buddha artist Jiang Sheng to design the exhibition space for his new exhibition “VOID”. The site of the exhibition is a small theater of The Dome Studio in Beijing.

Inspired by the Indian stepwells, we decided to design the space without color attributes and decorative elements. Using simple geometric shapes to create a layered sense of order in the site – a dramatic, “empty room” with only undulating topography and air. We did not set any rigid partitions in the space, so that the exhibits can be freely placed on the platforms.
